BotIntelli — Settings User Guide

This guide explains the main Settings page: profile, preferences, notifications, password, 2FA, API keys, sessions, organization, team, and subscription/billing links.


What Is the Settings Page?

The Settings page is the central place for your account and organization: profile (name, email, avatar, bio, timezone), preferences (notifications, UI options), security (password, 2FA, API keys, sessions), organization details, team (members, invitations, departments, roles), and subscription/billing (plan, change plan, invoices). What you see depends on your permissions (e.g. only admins see org and team management).


Where to Find It

  • Sidebar: Settings (or “Settings” at the bottom of the sidebar).
  • URL: https://app.botintelli.com/dashboard?view=settings.

Complete User Journey

Step 1: Open Settings

  • You see sections or cards: Profile, Preferences, Security, Organization, Team, Subscription (or similar). Some sections may be links to dedicated pages (e.g. Security → /settings/security).

Step 2: Profile

  • Display name — First name, last name (editable if allowed).
  • Email — Often read-only; change may require verification.
  • Avatar — Upload or choose an avatar.
  • Bio — Short bio (optional).
  • Timezone — Select your timezone for dates and times in the app.
  • Save to apply changes.

Step 3: Preferences

  • Notifications:
    • Email — General email notifications on/off.
    • Browser — Browser/push notifications.
    • Workflow — Notifications when workflows complete.
    • Security alerts — Security-related emails.
    • Marketing — Marketing emails (opt-in/out).
    • Weekly digest — Weekly summary email.
  • UI: Options like Compact view, Auto-sync (if available).
  • Theme: Light / Dark (if the app supports it).
  • Save when done.
  • Password — Change password: current password, new password, confirm new password. Submit to update.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) — Enable: scan QR with authenticator app, enter 6-digit code; backup codes are shown once. Disable (if allowed) via the same section.
  • API keys — Create a new API key (name), copy the key once (it may not be shown again). Revoke keys you no longer need. (May require a specific plan.)
  • Sessions — View active sessions (device, browser, last active); revoke one or revoke all others. (Detailed in Security guide.)

Step 5: Organization (When You Have Permission)

  • Organization name and details (view or edit). Only users with org management permission see or edit this.

Step 6: Team (When You Have Permission)

  • Links or subsections: Team members, Invitations, Departments, Roles (and role templates, compare). Use these to invite members, manage roles, and organize by department. (See your app’s Team or RBAC docs for details.)

Step 7: Subscription and Billing

  • Current plan — Name (e.g. Starter, Professional, Enterprise) and optionally usage (bots, messages, workflows, pipelines, documents, storage).
  • Change plan — Link to change-plan or pricing flow (upgrade/downgrade).
  • Invoices — Link to invoice history (view or download past invoices).
  • Cancel subscription — Start cancellation or manage cancellation (per your org’s policy). Often linked from the subscription view.
