BotIntelli — Templates User Guide

This guide explains Templates: what they are, how to browse them, and how to create a new workflow from a template.

What Are Templates?

Templates are pre-built workflow designs (e.g. lead scoring, support triage, report generation). You don’t build from scratch—you pick a template and create a new workflow based on it. The Workflow Designer opens with the template’s nodes and connections already in place; you then customize and save.

Where to Find It

  • Sidebar: AutomationTemplates.
  • URL: https://app.botintelli.com/dashboard?view=templates.

Complete User Journey

Step 1: Open Templates

  • You see a gallery or list of templates. Each may show:
    • Name (e.g. “Lead scoring”, “Support triage”).
    • Short description of what the workflow does.
    • Category or tags (if the app supports them).

Step 2: Choose a Template

  • Browse the list. Click a template to see more detail (description, nodes included) or go straight to “Use” or “Create from template.”

Step 3: Create Workflow From Template

  • Click Create workflow from template (or “Use template”, “Start from this template”). The app creates a new workflow and opens the Workflow Designer with the template’s graph (nodes and edges) loaded. You may be asked to give the new workflow a name.

Step 4: Customize and Save

  • In the designer, adjust nodes (prompts, model, tools, inputs/outputs) to fit your use case. Save the workflow. It appears in Workflows and you can run, share, or clone it like any other workflow.

Step 5: Clone Template (When Available)

  • If the UI offers Clone template, it creates a copy of the template as a new workflow without changing the original template. Then customize the copy in the designer.

Tips

  • No templates: Your plan or org may have a limited set; contact admin if you expect more.
  • Template not loading: Refresh the page; if it still fails, try another template or create a blank workflow in the designer.
