BotIntelli — Data Stories User Guide

This guide explains Data Stories: what they are, how to generate and view a data story, and how to download reports (DOCX/PDF).

What Are Data Stories?

Data Stories are narrative reports generated from your data—e.g. a weekly or monthly summary with key metrics, trends, and text. You can generate a new story (with period and title) or open an existing one, then download it as DOCX or PDF.

Where to Find It

Complete User Journey

Step 1: Open Data Stories

  • You see options to generate a new story or view existing stories (if the app lists them). There may be a period selector (e.g. weekly, monthly) and a title field.

Step 2: Generate a New Story

  • Period (if required): Choose the time period (e.g. “Last week”, “Last month”, “Q1”).
  • Title (optional): Enter a title for the story (e.g. “Weekly sales summary”).
  • Click Generate or “Generate story.” The system builds the narrative from your data; when ready, the story opens in the Data Story viewer.

Step 3: View the Story

  • The Data Story viewer shows the generated narrative (sections, metrics, trends). Scroll to read. You may be able to open other saved stories from a list.

Step 4: Download the Report

  • Download button: Use Download report (or “Download”).
  • Format: Choose DOCX or PDF. The file is generated and downloaded to your device.

Step 5: Download an Existing Story (When Listed)

  • If the app shows a list of past stories, open one and use Download report → DOCX or PDF to get the file.

Tips and Troubleshooting

  • Generation slow: Large data or complex stories can take time; wait for completion or check for errors.
