BotIntelli — AI Insights User Guide
This guide explains AI Insights: how to ask questions about your data in natural language, view charts and results, use disambiguation and suggestions, save to dashboards, and give feedback.
What Is AI Insights?
AI Insights lets you analyze your data using natural language. You type a question (e.g. “What were total sales by region last quarter?”) and the system returns charts, tables, or summaries based on your connected data (knowledge base, pipelines, datasets). You can change chart types, save results to an AI Dashboard, and use query suggestions.
Where to Find It
- Sidebar: AI Analytics → AI Insights.
- URL:

Complete User Journey
Step 1: Open AI Insights
- You see a main input area (e.g. “Ask about your data…” or “Ask BotIntelli”) and optionally query suggestions or recent/saved items.
Step 2: Ask a Question
- Input field: Type a natural language question or request, e.g.:
- “What were total sales by region last quarter?”
- “Show me top 10 products by revenue.”
- “Compare monthly signups for the last 6 months.”
- Send: Press Enter or click the send/submit button. The system interprets the question and runs it against your data.
Step 3: View Results
- Charts: Results often appear as a chart (bar, line, pie, etc.) with a data table or summary.
- Chart type: Use the chart type switcher (if shown) to change visualization (e.g. bar → line → pie).
- Disambiguation: If the question is ambiguous (e.g. multiple datasets match), a disambiguation panel appears so you can pick the correct dataset or context.
- Suggestions: The UI may show similar datasets or follow-up suggestions to refine or extend the analysis.
Step 4: Refine or Follow Up
- Session: Your question and answer are part of a session; you can ask follow-up questions in the same context.
- New question: Type another question in the same input to run a new analysis.
Step 5: Save to Dashboard (When Available)
- Use Save or “Save to dashboard” to add the current chart or result to an AI Dashboard for reuse and sharing.
Step 6: Feedback (When Available)
- Use feedback buttons (e.g. thumbs up/down or a feedback form) to rate the result. This helps improve answers and chart quality.
Input Fields and Actions
| Element | What to do |
|---|---|
| Question input | Type a natural language question about your data. Send with Enter or the send button. |
| Query suggestions | Click a suggestion to run that query (or use it as a starting point and edit). |
| Chart type switcher | Change visualization type (bar, line, pie, etc.) for the current result. |
| Disambiguation | When multiple options exist, select the correct dataset or context. |
| Save to dashboard | Save the current chart/result to an AI Dashboard. |
| Feedback | Use thumbs up/down or the feedback form to rate the result. |
What Data Is Used?
- Knowledge Base — Documents and files you uploaded or synced.
- Pipeline data — Data ingested from Salesforce, HubSpot, databases, APIs, etc.
- Datasets — Any datasets the app exposes for analytics (e.g. from Universal API, CRM objects).
The exact scope depends on your permissions and what’s connected; disambiguation helps when several sources could apply.
Tips and Troubleshooting
- No result or error: Rephrase the question; ensure the relevant data is connected and ingested (Knowledge Base / Pipeline Management).
- Wrong chart type: Use the chart type switcher to get a better visualization.
- Ambiguous query: Use the disambiguation panel to choose the right dataset or context.
- Session context: Follow-up questions in the same session may reuse context; for a fresh start, begin a new session if the UI supports it.

For the natural-language “Ask about your data” experience in the app, this is the same AI Insights flow; there is no separate “Ask BotIntelli” page—it’s this view. For dashboards where you save and view these charts, see the AI Dashboard guide. For proactive insights, see Insight Feed.
